Samsung galaxy s6 the worst experience ever

For the last few months I have been been using a Samsung galaxy s6 as my Dailey driver and it has been one of the worst smartphone experience’s of all time.

To start off, the user interface is pretty slow compared to using the material theme and the nova launcher which speed up and making aesthetics significantly better to look at.

Memory is another issue, after a few weeks of usage the memory consumption by the system increased to be above 60 percent all the time which indicates poor memory management by the operating system. This could be an issue on Samsung’s end as they are known to understand hardware significantly better than software.

Poor battery on Wi-Fi and horrible on 3G/4G, while using the device connected to networks in order to access the internet the battery life diminishes to less than 20% in under 6 hours and worse in some reported cases even though the battery saving option is enabled with less than 50% brightness for the screen. Only fix to this is carrying around a bulky power pack that gives you enough charge to half the day or in my case, to purchase an iPod touch for media consumption.

Faulty camera, this is a common issue that Samsung will never address but the s6 and s6edge have a faulty camera that does not focus and buzzes while being used 60-80 % of the time. The only work around for this issue is to keep tapping the camera which attributes to this device having a poor user experience.

S junk apps, Samsung has added apps that cannot be removed such as the galaxy app store, s health, s voice and Samsung gear which can only be disabled with the exception of the galaxy store app that cannot be disabled or removed.

Poor quality accessories that did not last eight months. The fast charging cable ripped from one end while the the earphones that are poor imitations of the apple ear pods did not endure the test of time which was for less than eight months while my apple ear pods from 2013 work well to date.
